Bringing Talent Home
The founding doctors of the New Orleans Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery, Dr. Russell Hendrick and Dr. Parker Velargo, are both New Orleans natives. After venturing away to hone their skills, they are excited to be back in The Big Easy and to bring their aesthetic expertise to this fine city. Our practice might be new, but behind our shiny, new doors you’ll find a wealth of knowledge, skill and expertise unmatched in the city.
Meet Our Doctors
Our practice would be nothing without our founders and co-owners Dr. Hendrick and Dr. Velargo. These two friends attended Brother Martin High School, Louisiana State University and LSU Medical School together before venturing off to obtain more specialized training out of state. While these two surgeons have a lot in common, they both have their own unique skills and specialties. New Orleans Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery wouldn’t be the same without both of them.
- Parker Velargo – A specialist in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, eyelids, ears, nose and neck, Dr. Velargo is a fellowship trained Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and is board certified in Head and Neck Surgery. He also has extensive experience working with non-surgical treatments like injectables and laser therapy. He has trained and mentored under some of the most prominent plastic surgeons in the country: Dr. E. Gaylon McCullough and Dr. Fred G. Fedok. Dr. Velargo is an internationally published expert, noted conference presenter, and serves on several committees of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Russell Hendrick – Dr. Hendrick’s skill as a plastic surgeon focuses on cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries of the body as well as hand and wrist surgery. During his training he had the privilege of delving into all aspects of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, including pediatric surgery. He received the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Resident of the Year Award for his exceptional patient care and dedication to the field of plastic surgery. He also completed a one year fellowship in hand and microsurgery under the direction of world renown surgeon Dr. David T. Netscher.
