How Does Excel V+ Laser Work?
Our Excel V+ laser treatment is a solid-state laser technology incorporating two precision laser wavelengths in one device. This one-of-a-kind treatment is non-ablative, meaning there will only be mild skin disruption, and offers little to no downtime.
Four compatible handpieces provide more versatility from the Excel V+. For example, it can deliver a micro-pulsed 532 nm wavelength with our Genesis V™ handpiece, customizing spot size and wavelength. Laser Genesis is a non-invasive laser technology that offers multiple purposes like restoring skin tone, treating wrinkles and fine lines, acne and superficial scarring, large pores, and active acne.
This heat-based laser stimulates the body’s natural healing processes to boost collagen growth, resulting in a more youthful skin tone and texture. The fully integrated CoolView™ or the thin Dermastat handpiece accurately treats small pigmented and vascular lesions.

The Excel V+ Process
This non-invasive treatment requires no anesthesia and is an in-office procedure. Before we begin Excel V+ therapy, we’ll test a small skin area to determine its response to the laser. Depending on which handheld device we use, you may feel a slight snap or a warm sensation as your provider moves the tool across your skin.
Your Excel V+ skin rejuvenating treatments are up to five times faster than those of other lasers, like the VBeam laser. We can treat a single area in three to five minutes. The procedure is quick and convenient, so you can schedule it during your lunch break.
Depending on your cosmetic concerns, you may need a series of treatment sessions to deliver your desired results. After your consultation, we can book your follow-up treatments to ensure proper spacing and optimal results. While you may notice skin clarity and enhanced tone following your first treatment, the benefits continue to improve for the next two to four months as your skin regenerates new collagen and elastin production.
Excel V+ Treatment Aftercare
There is little to no recovery, but some slight, temporary effects may occur after the treatments. Here are some other post-Excel V+ Laser aftercare instructions you should understand:
- Expect some redness, swelling, and bruising.
- You may experience a bug-bitten appearance which should resolve in a day or two.
- Avoid heat, steam baths, and hot tubs for a couple of days.
- Do not use skin care products that contain glycolic/salicylic acids, benzoyl peroxide, retinol, or tretinoin.
- Compression stockings are optional.
