RHA Fillers

RHA® RESILIENT HYALURONIC ACID® FILLERS IN NEW ORLEANS

We all want to look naturally beautiful, but treating dynamic wrinkles or expression lines on our faces can be challenging. These wrinkles, caused by the repetitive muscle movements we make throughout the day, etch themselves deeply into the skin. Even the best cosmetic treatments don’t seem to be able to soften them and make a difference.

Well, with the exclusive U.S. release of RHA® Resilient Hyaluronic Acid®, that is now changing. At last, you now have a radically new cosmetic treatment that will turn heads and draw tons of praise about how young and vibrant you look.

At the New Orleans Center for Aesthetics and Plastic Surgery, Drs. Russel Hendrick, Parker Velargo, and Celeste Gary are proud to be the first practice offering this unique and revolutionary treatment in New Orleans, Louisiana.

WHAT IS RHA® RESILIENT HYALURONIC ACID®?

Resilient Hyaluronic Acid®, or RHA, is a new, advanced form of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in the skin. Its purpose is to retain moisture and help sustain collagen production, the protein we all rely on to support our skin’s structure. RHA is the solution to many of our challenging aesthetic concerns, including:

  • Dynamic wrinkles caused by muscle motion
  • Nasolabial folds from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth
  • Expression lines around the mouth caused by smiling
  • Chin lines

YOUR RHA® TREATMENT INJECTIONS

Before beginning treatment, one of our skilled plastic surgeons will treat your skin with a topical numbing cream to ensure your comfort. Once this cream has taken effect, your surgeon will make a series of precisely positioned injections into the target areas of your skin. For optimal results, most patients require one to two units of RHA, administered in about 30 minutes.

Since these injections also contain the anesthetic lidocaine, the treatment area may feel numb for a few hours afterward. Immediately after your treatment, your doctor may massage your face to disperse the filler throughout the injection site.

You may schedule touch-ups two to four weeks after you have received the injections.

This formulation helps patients who:

  • Need correction for radial cheek lines
  • Desire a soft-focus appearance
  • Want long-lasting, natural-looking benefits

RH 2 Application

RHA 2 is injected into the mid-to-deep skin layers to treat modest dynamic lines and wrinkles. It is best for filling moderate wrinkles like lines around your mouth and glabellar lines on the forehead and between your brow and nose.

Appropriate for patients who:

  • Need correction for marionette lines and oral commissures
  • Need a moderately robust filler for smoother skin texture
  • Desire long-lasting benefits

RH 3 Application

RHA 3 is injected into the mid-to-deep skin layers to resolve moderate to severe dynamic lines and fill deeper facial wrinkles. This includes the area between the lips and nose, known as the nasolabial folds.

Appropriate for patients who need:

  • Correction with a deeper-placed filler
  • Enhanced volume without prominent ridges
  • Long-lasting benefits

RH 4 Application

RHA 4 is injected deep into the superficial subcutaneous tissue to address moderate to severe dynamic wrinkles and folds. It is designed to increase volume in extended areas of your face, like the cheeks and facial contours.

Appropriate for patients who need:

  • Correction with a superficially placed filler
  • A natural look without the unwanted heaviness
  • Long-lasting benefits

RHA Redensity is the newest addition to our RHA line. It is the first FDA-approved soft tissue filler for superficial and dermal perioral injections. With the highest stretch rating of any hyaluronic acid filler available in the United States, it is ideal for resolving moderate to severe wrinkles in the highly expressive area around your mouth.

YOUR RHA® POST-TREATMENT INSTRUCTIONS

After your treatment, we’ll provide you with a set of directions to guide you through your recovery and ensure you achieve optimal results. These will typically include:

  • Avoid touching, pressing, rubbing, or scrubbing the skin.
  • Avoid direct sunlight, and wear sunblock.
  • Avoid excess heat and sweating.
  • Do not participate in strenuous exercise.
  • Do not take blood-thinning medications and specific supplements.
  • Avoid alcohol, smoking, and caffeine products.
  • Do not use Retinol products.
  • Avoid wearing makeup for at least 24 hours after your treatment.

HOW LONG DO RHA® RESULTS LAST?

The results from your RHA treatment will appear gradually over two to four weeks. You will notice a smoothing of the skin surface, the reduction of visible wrinkles, and a tightening of skin laxity. On average, gel fillers such as RHA that contain hyaluronic acid can last for up to 15 months or more.

Your body’s metabolism will break down the HA gel very slowly over time. But the advanced RHA formula prolongs this breakdown, allowing the hyaluronic acid dermal filler to last longer.

ARE YOU A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR RHA® TREATMENT?

If you are an adult over the age of 22 and would like to improve the appearance of deep or dynamic wrinkles, you could be an excellent candidate for this treatment, which is ideal for patients who have not gained results from other dermal fillers.
