Restylane Defyne was developed by Galderma: the company that created other great fillers such as: Restylane Lyft®, Restylane®, and Restylane Refyne®. This unique formula uses hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body that binds and retains water molecules. Though new to the United States, Europeans have been experiencing the benefits of Restylane Defyne for several years under a different name.

Restylane Defyne is formulated using XpresHan Technology, which creates an advanced gel with the optimal combination of flexibility and support. XpresHan formulation allows the Hyaluronic Acid gel to flex and move inside the skin naturally with facial movement, allowing for subtler, natural results. However, Restylane Defyne is unique because its sturdy gel also allows for stronger structural support; in fact, Restylane Defyne was made for especially deep wrinkles, nasolabial folds and facial depressions. Your Restylane Defyne treatment will be completely nonsurgical, so there is only a minimal recovery period required. You should see an immediate improvement after the treatment, but the full results should appear after a week. Most common side effects from Restylane Defyne are more likely to be associated with the injection process rather than the filler itself.

During the injection, a small needle penetrates your skin, which may elicit the body’s inflammatory response. Therefore, some patients experience slight redness and inflammation for 24-48 hours after treatment. These side effects, however, go away quickly and without trouble.
