Juvederm Vollure

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE

As we age, we lose volume in our face, which, with gravity, causes lines and wrinkles to form on the face. While there are surgical options available to help reduce the appearance of lines andwrinkles, replacing volume is the key to treating bone and fat loss and appearing more youthful. By strategically placing fillers in areas of volume & bone loss, you can retain your youthful appearance and delay or even forgo surgical intervention.

While there are other products available to treat moderate to severe wrinkles and folds, Vollure™ is the first with results that last up to 18 months. Current hyaluronic acid-based fillers used for improvement of nasolabial folds, such as Juvederm Ultra (Plus) and Restylane Refyne, and Restylane Defyne, have been shown to last up to one year, but in the U.S. clinical trials, the majority of patients treated with Vollure XC were very satisfied with its effects at a year and a half.

WHAT IS VOLLURE?

Juvederm Vollure is an injectable Hylauronic Acid filler used to soften lines and wrinkles due to the aging process. Vollure is the newest member in a family of fillers formulated using proprietary Vycross® technology, which blends molecules of different weight and gives these gels some advantages. Just like its widely popular sister products Juvederm Voluma and Juvederm Volbella, Vollure™ XC binds water in the skin in a way that means bulges may be less likely to appear.

HOW LONG DOES VOLLURE LAST?

Vollure was approved by the FDA for improvement in wrinkles and lines for up to 18 months. At the 18-month mark, approximately 68% of patients in the study were still very satisfied with their results.

FAQS: JUVÉDERM VOLLURE

Vollure, Volbella and Voluma are similar and different in many ways. They all belong to the Juvederm family of products and are Hylauronic Acid Fillers. They all use the Vycross technology that gives them longer duration then some of the other fillers on the market. What makes them different is the make-up of the product. Voluma, Vollure and Volbella each contain different amounts of the hyaluronic acid. Vollure falls right in the middle containing 17.5 mg/ml of hyaluronic acid. Voluma contains 20 mg/ml of hyaluronic acid and Volbella contains 15mg/ml of hyaluronic acid.

Vollure is technically called Juvederm Vollure XC. The XC indicates that there is a numbing medication included in the syringe and this will allow your treatment to be very comfortable. We also have numbing cream available if you prefer to come in early and get a little pretreatment. Many of our clients chose to do this and we would have you arrive to the office 30 minutes prior to your treatment to get numbed.

Recovery with Vollure is minimal and you can return to normal activities immediately.

Since Vollure is a hylauronic acid it can be removed by injecting an enzyme into the area treated with Vollure to dissolve the product. This may take a few visits to achieve the desired results, but it is highly effective.

Vollure is also great for treating perioral lines, the lips, chin, jaw line, and temples.  While these are all “off-label” uses (meaning it is not studied and FDA cleared for injection into these areas), Drs. Hendrick and Velargo are experienced in injecting fillers into these areas to get fantastic results.

You will see results immediately, but depending on your volume loss or severity of your wrinkles it can take multiple syringes for desired results.
