About Gena Taranto Robin, RN

Gena photoGena joined the New Orleans Center for Aesthetics and Plastic surgery in August 2015 as our Skin Care Nurse.  A New Orleans native, Gena graduated from Mount Carmel Academy High School, and the LSU School of Nursing, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 1994.  She worked at Tulane Hospital for Children for 10 years as a dedicated and experienced staff nurse, finding particular interest and  great purpose in her work with children challenged by Cystic Fibrosis,  HIV | AIDS, and Children with  Caner.  In so doing, she was Chemotherapy Certified and worked often with a diverse scale of  post-operative surgery patients. After raising her son for his first few years, Gena worked as a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and Circulating Nurse for 7 years, while also launching her own skin care business.  Skincare by Gena Brings together extensive training as a nurse with her personal passion for skin care. She has developed a loyal following of repeat clients, each drawn by trust, knowledge, cheerful, smart service and ultimately an unwavering care for bringing forth simple beauty that uplifts the human spirit and empowers human beings.  With years of experience as a Registered Nurse in skin care, she specializes in IPL hair removal, IPL photo rejuvenation | photofacial, chemical peels and micro-dermabrasion.

She believes in the newest advanced technologies and treatments with a preventative approach to skin care and wellness.This approach is results-oriented treatments and serious skin care delivered in a beautifully designed spa-like environment, with a boutique and personal feel which reflects the bespoke nature of her service.

She is a big advocate for a healthy lifestyle and enjoys fitness, travel, reading, poetry, fashion design, learning new languages and raising her son.  Creating beauty, healing, and empowering women so they can feel good from the inside and out and sharing that gift is her passion.   Some of her favorite quotes….
